Female officer makes history, becomes part of VVIP motorcade

Police Lance Corporal Aleena Moosa has made Maldivian history by becoming the first female police officer to be part of a VVIP motorcade.

Aleena, who serves at the police traffic management department, had been part of the VVIP motorcade which escorted Sir Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who arrived in the Maldives for a State visit this Monday.

The police marked the historical moment by sharing pictures of Aleena via its official Twitter account.
