Eat.mv, Maldives first and only online grocery supermarket successfully completed more than 1 thousand orders in its first month of operation. Eat currently operates within the greater male region. With over 2000 products, they offer a wide range of products, which include fruits and vegetables, staples, household, personal care, imported and gourmet, which are delivered to the customers’ doorstep at a click of a button.

The grocery business in the Maldives is believed to be a 1 billion Rufiyaa addressable market of which e-grocery accounts for only 0.1%. This number is expected to grow rapidly as Eat.mv continues to scale, at a time when many retailers and wholesalers alike are cutting down on their operating costs and moving towards online alternatives.

“Eat.mv will be the perfect source for customers who want to grab groceries at their convenience, all without leaving the comfort of their home,” said Fraath Mohamed, CEO of Laniakea Trade (Parent Company of Eat.mv). We’re extremely excited to launch our online grocery supermarket as a pilot project in Male’ City and hopefully onto all parts of Maldives. It’s just another way we’re making it effortless for customers to meet their needs” He added.

Eat.mv delivers in a delivery slot model – one from where customers can choose from three delivery slots in a day. Upon launch, our vendors include Seagull Foods, VB Brothers, Lily International, Premium Supplies, Happy Market, City Investments, De Essence, Euro-Marketing, United Food Supplies, MIFCO, Life Support, Ace Hardware Maldives and Meraki Coffee Roasters. More vendors are expected to join the platform in the coming months.

Eat.mv uniquely focuses on Top Savers, Organic Groceries, Over-the-counter medications as well as popular products.
