Local telecom firm Dhiraagu made a net profit of MVR 234 million in the final quarter of 2017.
While Dhiraagu, the largest telecom company in the country, made a hefty profit in the last quarter, the company’s records also show that it had made a profit of MVR 210.5 million in the previous quarter.
After deducting expenditure, Dhiraagu garnered an operating income of MVR 698 million with the gross profit reaching MVR 281.3 million. The company had paid MVR 43.5 million as tax.
Bahrain’s Batelco holds 52 percent shares of the telecom giant; the state owns 41.8 percent while 6.5 percent was sold to the public.
