Customs, HDC & Dhiraagu advanced to the knockout round

Customs Recreation Club recovered from their loss against Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) six days earlier, by defeating Thauleemee Gulhun 6-0, to secure the second place of Group F. Their loss against DSC was a huge disappointment, as both the goals for DSC came in the extra time of the match.

Hassan Noorish of Customs had a perfect night by netting four goals, whereas Hassan Imran (Hassanko) scored a brace to have a comfortable win against Thauleemee Gulhun. MTCC had a narrow chance to survive with a win against DSC, but DSC were much stronger and won the match by 4-1.

Customs advanced as the second team of the group with six points, behind the leaders DSC.

In Group H, Dhiraagu, Mifco and PSM had the opportunity to progress to the knockout round. However, Dhiraagu took the advantage with a perfect second half action against PSM. They scored four goals against PSM in the second half to eliminate them. On the other hand, Police Club topped the group by defeating Mifco 6-3.

In the deciding round of Group G, HDC defeated Civil Court by 6-2 and United BML defeated Fen Club by 3-0. BML topped the group with nine points, and HDC is ranked second with six points.
