The Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed has been found guilty of ordering the suspension of the Government e-Letter Management System (GEMS) at the Supreme Court on February 4 and February 5 and sentenced to four months and 24 days in prison.
The Criminal Court issued its verdict this Tuesday morning.
The court ruled that witness testimony proves Abdulla Saeed’s guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
The conviction means Abdulla Saeed has been effectively disbarred.
