Astonishing Maldivian thrashes Police

Maldivian thrashes Police Club 5-2 in the round of 16 clash, to progress to the Quarter Final of the Club Maldives Cup 2018.

Ahmed Rifshan (Kakka) put Police Club ahead in the second quarter of the first half, in the 9th minute. But their lead lasted only for a minute, as the Maldivian hero Abdulla Shaffaan (Shakaa) equalized in the next minute.

Hassan Afsal (Ozil) took the lead for Maldivian in the opening minutes of the second half. It looked as if the Police lost their control of the match after the Maldivian’s astonishing start to the second half.

Shakaa then extended the lead for Maldivian in the 28th minute, which was followed by a goal from Ibrahim Thahseen (Thaadey) in the 29th minute. The fifth goal of the night for Maldivian came in the 33rd minute from Ahmed Hamdhaan Hussain (Handhey), to make the score 5-1.

Shifaz of Police Club scored a consolation goal in the additional minutes, which only reduced the goal deficit.

Another heroic performance from Shakaa was rewarded him with the Man of the Match award.

Shakaa has now scored six goals in all four matches of the tournament, and Maldivian has a hundred per cent winning record in the tournament.

Maldivian will face Ooredoo in the Quarter Final of the tournament.
