The economic ministry has permitted the public to share their opinions on keeping shops, cafes and restaurants open for 24 hours.

According to an announcement made by the ministry, the duration for submitting your opinions is until 2 PM in the afternoon on 29th of November. If you wish to send it in writing, address it to the business registration section of the ministry.

Keeping the shops, restaurants and cafes open for 24 hours was practised earlier as well. However, it was discontinued after crime rates began to rise in the Maldives.
